Since 11th May, Magaluf bars and restaurants have been allowed to open their terraces for business. But without the usual international tourists, most bars and restaurants didn’t see the point in opening for only the locals.
The prime minister of Spain announced this weekend that from July, Spain will be accepting international flights allowing tourists to travel to Mallorca and Magaluf.
The news was welcomed by bar and club owners with many venues now set to reopen open on 1st July.
On Monday 25th May, Magaluf will enter what Spain are calling Phase 2 of lockdown. Along with the reopening of shopping malls and hotels, Magaluf beach will also be fully open for use. Local Magaluf workers welcomed the lift on restrictions after seeing the arrival of sun beds and umbrellas along the local beaches.
Jet2 have also announced they will begin flying to Mallorca from 1st July and with business and hotels desperate to save the summer, this would be one of the best and cheapest times to book a holiday to Magaluf.
