Spain’s Health Minister Salvador Illa has announced that bars and restaurants with outside terraces are allowed to open when their province reaches Phase 1 of de-escalation, which for some will be as soon as May 11th.
When the bars and restaurants open, they will be allowed to do so starting with 50% of their capacity, and the rule will currently be for terraces only, with the inside of venues set to open a couple of weeks after.
This means venues such as Magaluf outside bars, restaurants and beach clubs are all now planning to open at lot sooner than planned.
News that hotels are being set to open in the coming weeks but will currently have communal areas such as pools and buffets closed, but as Magaluf goes through the phases, the rules will start to relax, which should be in time for the summer.
