Business owners and workers for Magaluf’s main bars, clubs and commercial shops held a peaceful protest today against the unlawful decision to close the main Magaluf strip and adjoining streets by the Balearic Government.
Earlier this month, the Balearic Government immediately forced the closure of the entire Magaluf strip and all commercial businesses on the street know as Punta Ballena. Police were instructed to also close any establishment which sells alcohol in Calle del General García Ruiz and Calle de Federico García Lorca, both also in Magaluf.

Despite the government stating this was due to COVID 19, they continued to let party beach clubs like Nikki Beach stay open, showing that this wrongful decision goes much deeper and sinister than the coronavirus outbreak.
The Balearic Government’s political views of Punta Ballena and Magaluf have never been in favour of the resort, and today, business owners continued their fight to stand up against the decisions made and protest against the wrong decision to force close the Magaluf strip and all businesses around the main street.
